Biography

TOMAHAWK is another project band emanating from the seemingly tireless energies of vocalist Mike Patton, known for his work with FAITH NO MORE, MR. BUNGLE, MALDOROR, PEEPING TOM (a collaboration with Hip-Hop producer Dan "the Automator" Nakamura) and FANTÔMAS. The band also included guitarist Duane Denison of JESUS LIZARD along with HELMET's John Stanier and Kevin Rutmanis previously a member of the MELVINS and THE COWS.

TOMAHAWK would be announced as support to TOOL for American dates during July 2002.

Mike Patton made an appearance on HENRY ROLLINS all star album benefiting the convicted killers known as the 'West Memphis Three'. The record was comprised of BLACK FLAG tracks re-recorded by current artists, Patton donating his vocals to 'Six Pack'. TOMAHAWK drummer John Stainer allied himself with DON CABALLERO guitarist Ian Williams in a new venture entitled BATTLES.

TOMAHAWK united with the MELVINS and FANTÔMAS for Australian dates in December of 2003. The band returned in 2007 with the 'Anonymous' album.
