BLONZ' (formerly the DIRTY BLONZ) debut album was produced by STEVE WALSH and Phil Ehart of KANSAS. The 'Blonz' album featured some heavyweight names in the songwriting department. The track 'Hands Of Love' was written by RAINBOW / DEEP PURPLE vocalist JOE LYNN TURNER and DANGER DANGER's Bruno Ravel. Erstwhile FIERCE HEART vocalist Larry Elkins wrote 'Skintight'. On the road BLONZ opened for WARRANT, EXTREME and BANG TANGO.

Following the band's demise Nathan Utz, Steve Taylor and Dennis Ogle formed CHAINGANG in 1993 with bassist Jymi Mullins and ex-QUEEN ANNE'S REVENGE drummer Reggie Rogers. The material was of a far harder nature than that offered by the BLONZ.
