Retro Hard Rock act BLOOD OF THE SUN, forged in early 2004 incorporate the Stoner elite cast of LAS CRUCES vocalist Mark Zammeron, guitarists Jayson Benfield and Richard Christopher, SOURVEIN and SUB OSLO bassist Miguel Veliz, STORM AT SUNRISE keyboard player Dave Gryder and SOURVEIN and MEN OF PORN drummer Henry Vasquez.

In 2009 the band was joined by the veteran figure of Derek St. Holmes, of WHITFORD ST. HOLMES and TED NUGENT band repute.
