Biography

Greenville, South Carolina Death Metal band LECHEROUS NOCTURNE was formulated in 1997 at the hands of guitarist Kreishloff and vocalist Hohenstein, both former members of Thrash act DOMINION. Hohenstein also held down duties as frontman for Atlanta's NARCOLEPSY. Second guitarist Chris Lollis of DESECRATION repute was inducted and Clay Lytle of FATAL AGRESSION was recruited on drums. Even without a bass player the band unit got to work on the live circuit, acting as openers for a whole host of name acts including ANGELCORPSE, NILE, IMMOLATION and KRISIUN.

In 2000 Lytle bowed out and the group relocated to Colorado to cut a set of demos. Dissatisfied with a stand in drummer these tapes were consigned to the vaults. LECHEROUS NOCTURNE duly made their way back to South Carolina, re-recruited Lytle and pulled in his FATAL AGRESSION band mate Chad Bradley on bass. The debut album arrived in March of 2003.

Gigs in mid 2004 found the high profile figure of NILE guitarist Dallas Toller-Wade acting as stand in drummer. September of 2004 marked the addition of bassist Joe Payne, ex-LUST OF DECAY. The NILE connection was strengthened in 2005 when guitarist Kreishloff acted as stand in bassist for NILE's April US tour dates.

LECHEROUS NOCTURNE entered SoundLab Studio in Columbia in mid July to commence crafting their full-length debut album, given a provisional title of 'Adoration Of The Blade'. The band severed ties with bassist Joe Payne in October, rather unkindly stating this was due to "lack of experience and enthusiasm". The group announced they had contracted with Deepsend Records in January 2006. Mike Poggione from EXECRATION, SCAB MAGGOT, TRIVIUM, MONSTROSITY and CAPHARNAUM subsequently enrolled as new bassist.

LECHEROUS NOCTURNE then announced the addition of drummer Jeremy Nissenbaum, previously of DESPOTIC ROBOT and CYANIDE BREED, to the group's ranks. Nissenbaum replaced Dallas Toler-Wade, who left to focus on his duties as the guitarist in NILE.

'The Age Of Miracles Has Passed', released on 21st October 2008 via Unique Leader Records, was once again recorded at SoundLab Studio in Columbia, South Carolina. Guitarist Ethan Lane from APOTHEOSYS replaced Chris Lollis in April 2009.
