Blues edged Philadelphia based Hard Rockers NAKED BEGGARS was initiated by guitarist Kris Casamento and CINDERELLA bass player Eric Brittingham in 1998. Fronted by Brittingham's wife Inga and with David 'Doc' Holladay on second guitar the band solidified during 2002. CINDERELLA's Jeff LaBar added guest guitar to the track 'Bitch' on the band's self titled album, which emerged in February 2004.

Subsequently LaBar took the second guitar spot from Holladay as Kristine Brasvell was added as keyboard player. Having inducted new drummer Lisa Rav NAKED BEGGARS conducted US club shows throughout October and November 2006. Album recordings were taken on in December. In April 2007 guitarist Jeff LaBar announced that he had been ousted with the staement "I have been fired, as a musician by the powers that be."

In November 2008 Kris Casamento bowed out and Brandon Gibbs, of the GIBBS BROTHERS BAND, took on the role of touring guitarist.
