Biography

Philadelphia extreme Metal band INSATANITY released a plethora of demos prior to signing to Greek label Unisound for their debut 1996 album. The group had been founded in mid 1992. Frontman Chris Lytle had operated as bassist / vocalist with a whole swathe of acts including STAID, OCONUS, INHUMANITY, DARK SUN and DIVINATION. Bass player Lou Suppa had a history with SAPREMIA and SPEEDCHRIST. Drummer Matt Mazzenga is also ex-OCONUS. Guitarist Ed Drozdowsky was also an active participant in MAIL ORDER BRIDE whilst his six string partner Kevin McClintock, an ex-ETHEREAL member, divides his duties with POLTERCHRIST.

INSATANITY bowed in with an eponymous demo in 1993 following it the same year with 'Ad Maiorem Satanae Glorium' and 'Unholiness Rising' in 1995.

The debut album, 'Divine Decomposition', was released by the Greek Unisound Records concern in January of 1996. However, by July of 1997 INSATANITY had signed with the Mortal Coil label and issued their second CD outing, 'Vengeance From Beyond The Grave', a shared CD in league with fellow Death Metal outfit IMMORTAL SUFFERING.

An EP, 'The Plague Of Amon', was prepared for 2002 release. During December 2002 drummer Justin DiPinto of DIVINE RAPTURE and MALEVOLENT CREATION repute replaced Matt Mazzenga.

2007 album recordings saw the inclusion of the MONARCH, DIVINE EMPIRE, MALEVOLENT CREATION and COUNCIL OF THE FALLEN credited Dave Kinkade on drums.
