Biography
Modern Hard Rock outfit THE ALL AMERICAN REJECTS was conceived by vocalist / bassist Tyson Ritter and guitarist Nick wheeler during 2000. Bringing in Tim O'Heir as producer the band self financed their eponymous debut in October of 2002, issuing the album through their own Doghouse imprint. The Dreamworks label subsequently picked the band up, re-issuing the album the following year.
In October 2003 the band headed out on the road once more on a Nokia sponsored package billing allied with OZOMATLI, DIFFUSER and HOOBASTANK. THE ALL AMERICAN REJECTS touring keyboard player Tim Jordan commited suicide on Tuesday December 13th 2005. He was 24-years-old.
THE ALL AMERICAN REJECTS performed at the first annual VH1 'Rock Honors' televised show, held on May 26th at the Las Vegas Mandalay Bay Events Center to pay tribute to the achievements of KISS, QUEEN, DEF LEPPARD and JUDAS PRIEST. THE ALL AMERICAN REJECTS delivered their rendition of the DEF LEPPARD hit 'Photograph'. The band put in a significant appearance at the TOOL and DEFTONES headlined 'Download' festival in Castle Donington, UK on June 9th 2006.
In 2008 THE ALL AMERICAN REJECTS contributed a version of 'Jack's Lament' to the 'Nightmare Revisited' album, a collection of reworked songs from the soundtrack to Tim Burton's 1993 movie 'The Nightmare Before Christmas'. The album 'When The World Comes Down' emerged in mid December.
