In April 2005 former CHIMAIRA guitarist/co-founder and erstwhile SHENOAH and ASCENSION guitarist and founder Jason Hager re-emerged in a new Cleveland based band entitled YEARS OF FIRE. He would be joined in this venture by guitarist Cole Martinez, ex-RINGWORM and SHENOAH man Ben Hollowell on bass, Chris Wood of ASCENSION on lead vocals and drummer Brian Hanculak. The band signed to Thorp Records for an August 2006 debut album, 'Visceral Departure'.
