Biography

PITCH BLACK FORECAST, formed in 2007, is a project featuring vocalist Jason Popson, of MUSHROOMHEAD and IN COLD BLOOD, drummer Gene Hoglan, of DETHKLOK, STRAPPING YOUNG LAD, DEATH, DARK ANGEL and TESTAMENT amongst many others, guitarist Robert Reinard, from NDE, and bassist Steve Rauckhorst, of INTEGRITY and KERATOMA.

PITCH BLACK FORECAST's debut album, 'Absentee', was released in May 2008 through Fractured Transmitter, Popson's custom imprint. The album was mixed with Bill Korecky at Mars Recording Studio and featured guest appearances from Randall Blythe, from LAMB OF GOD, on the song 'So Low', and Human Furnace, of RINGWORM, on 'Wrapped In Plastic' and the THIN LIZZY cover version 'Bad Reputation'. Live concerts would see Steve Rauckhorst providing bass.

During March 2009 the group cut tracks for a second album at Galahad Studios in Cleveland with engineer Tom Schaffner.
