Melodic Rock outfit FROM THE FIRE was formed in New York by vocalist Joe 'J.D.' Kelly, guitarist Tommy Lafferty, drummer Michael Sciotto and original keyboard player Nadine Arel. Lafferty contacted his former VOODOO X colleague Jean Beauvoir who agreed to produce the album. HARLOW members Theresa Straley and Pat Regan also contribute, Straley singing the harmony parts on the track 'Spark And Flame'.

Arel would be replaced by former RAINBOW man Paul Morris. In 1995 Lafferty teamed up with Beauvoir once more by replacing Micki Free in CROWN OF THORNS.

Keyboard player Paul Morris sessioned for OVER THE RAINBOW's 24th June 2009 appearance at the 'Sweden Rock' festival in Sölvesborg, Sweden, as regular musician Tony Carey, was unavailable to perform on this date, having suffered a gastrointestinal disorder that required immediate treatment.
