Biography

An unadulterated Heavy Metal band out of Brooklyn, New York. GOTHIC KNIGHTS came into being during 1990. An early member of the band, vocalist George Tsalikis, would bow out and later forge Speed Metal band ZANDELLE. Commercially GOTHIC KNIGHTS debuted with an eponymous effort in 1996, the band at this stage consisting of singer Rick Sanchez, guitarist John Tsantakis, bass player Mario Consetino and drummer Brian Dispot.

Operating in Power Metal territory as an independent American act GOTHIC KNIGHTS stood out from the crowd. The band subsequently signed to the specialist Sentinel Steel label for a 1999 follow up 'Kingdom Of The Knights', notable for its inclusion of a version of JUDAS PRIEST's classic 'The Ripper'. By this juncture having shed both Sanchez and Dispot, their substitutes being lead vocalist Bryan 'Avatar' Waldman and drummer Kevin Myers.

The 2002 line up comprised Consetino, Tsantakis, a returned Rick Sanchez on vocals and drummer Tony Cianciotto. This quartet would ready a new album 'Up From The Ashes'. GOTHIC KNIGHTS studio work the following year would see VIRGIN STEELE's Frank Gilchriest sessioning on drums. Digipack variants added two extra tracks including a cover version of DURAN DURAN's 'Hungry Like The Wolf'.

The band entered East Trax Studios in January 2009 to record new album tracksfor the set 'Reflections From The Other Side'.
