South Plainfield, New Jersey Doom Death outfit WOMB comprised the former INCANTATION and DISCIPLES OF MOCKERY triumvirate vocalist Craig Pillard, bassist Ronny Deo and drummer Jim Roe. Pillard, upon his exit from DISCIPLES OF MOCKERY during 1994, relocated to New York. In the midst of a well documented heroin addiction, Pillard teamed up with both CATTLE PRESS and Doom act CEREMONIUM. Freeing himself from his drug habit the man journeyed back home where he reunited with Deo and Roe in WOMB. The band cut just one, five-track demo, recorded without guitar, prior to reforming DISCIPLES OF MOCKERY. Necroharmonic Productions published the WOMB demo in 2001 as a split outing shared with 1998 DISCIPLES OF MOCKERY tracks.

Pillard's tradition on the extreme Metal scene extends to tenures with NOCTURNAL CRYPT, AGGRESSIVE INTENT, CARNAGE, METHADRONE, PUTRIFACT and DESECRATOR. During 1999 Pillard activated STÜRMFÜHRER. The WOMB project was re-activated during 2002. Craig Pillard joined Black Metal band EVOKEN in April 2006.
