Central New Jersey, melodic Hardcore act NORA, founded in 1996, has shared members with both ENSIGN and BURNT BY THE SUN, the latter group fronted by former NORA member Mike Olender. The group debuted in 1999 with a split EP through Ferret Music shared with THE DILLINGER ESCAPE PLAN. 2001's 'Losers Intuition', produced by Eric Rachel, was followed up in 2003 with another Eric Rachel collaboration, 'Dreamers & Deadmen'.

Bassist Chris Byrnes exited to join EVERY TIME I DIE in 2005 and was duly replaced by a returning Mike Olender.

NORA played the 'Loud Park 06' festival in Japan alongside MEGADETH, OPETH and DRAGONFORCE. Working with producer Eric Rachel once again NORA commenced work on a second album, entitled 'Save Yourself', in New Jersey during January 2007.
