Biography

DANGER DANGER and BONE MACHINE singer TED POLEY issued the less than serious, Christmas 1994 single 'A Letter To Santa (From A Horny 12 yr. Old Boy)'. The center piece was a Christmas themed song with raunchy lyrics based on the theme of the none-to-subtle title cut. The cover art for the EP included Saint Nick surrounded by scantily clad, buxom, female 'elves'. The second cut was an unreleased track and the third cut 'Believe In Your Heart' was drawn from the BONE MACHINE album 'Dogs'. The indie release was only available in limited quantities from the Big disc label. Apparently a portion of the proceeds went to charity and the EP remains an interesting and collectable curio in Poley's history.

In 2004 Poley joined ADRIANGALE man Vic Rivera in an 80's covers act OUT OF DANGER. The following year the duo announced a project simply billed POLEY / RIVERA.

Kivel Records issued a new TED POLEY solo album, entitled 'Collateral Damage', in 2006. Featured studio guests included guitarist Pete Lesperance of HAREM SCAREM, Bill Leverty of FIREHOUSE, Vic Rivera from ADRIANGALE and DANGER DANGER guitarist ANDY TIMMONS.

The July 2009 'Greatestits' album was a double CD of archive tracks including two previously unreleased demos. Only the first 1000 copies came autographed by Poley and clad in "boobs" artwork. Thereafter the album title and artwork was changed to 'Greatest Hits'.
