Biography

Solo works from New Jersey based HADES and NON-FICTION guitarist Dan Lorenzo. With his former bands Lorenzo, starting with HADES 'Resisting Success' in 1987, featured on no less than 9 critically acclaimed albums, rounding off with HADES swansong, 2002's 'Damnation'. His solo output would be prolific. The 2003 album 'Cassius King' included covers of 'Hotter Than Hell' by KISS and AEROSMITH's 'Round And Round'. Featured musicians comprised HADES singer Alan Tecchio, bassist Jimmy Schulman, vocalists Mike Cristi and John Kosco of DROPBOX whilst HADES man Ron Lipnicki contributed drums, as did John Milnes of MUCKY PUP and ALL BORO KINGS. The record achieved some degree of notoriety due to the inclusion of the track 'B.S.', sung by Tom Mulligan from AC/DC covers band OVERDOSE. The singer so resembled AC/DC's late, great frontman Bon Scott that a spoof news story alleging that 'B.S.' was in fact an undiscovered AC/DC archive soon had the Metal community taking note. Lorenzo's community spirit extended to closing out 'Cassius King' with tracks by local Rock artists.

Another KISS rendition, 'Goin' Blind', featured on the follow up 'Nice Being Alone'. Third album 'Cut From A Different Cloth', issued in 2005, saw the inclusion of OVERKILL's Bobby Blitz. Naturally another KISS rendition, 'Two Timer', was featured. Studio musicians comprised bassists Jimmy Schulman and Scott LePage, extra vocals from Jeff Dixon, Mike Cristi and Chris Baker with drums courtesy of Ron Lipnicki and John Milnes.
