Vocalist Mike Patton's pre FAITH NO MORE band carried on as a side project after the singer's drafting into FAITH NO MORE. MR. BUNGLE share a lead guitarist with DIESELHED who released a 1999 album 'Elephant Rest Home'. Patton also can be found in FANTÔMAS with SLAYER and GRIP INC. drummer DAVE LOMBARDO, THE MELVINS Buzz Osbourne and MR. BUNGLE colleague Trevor Dunn.

In 2000 Patton guested with ZORN on their 'Taboo And Exile' and re-issued 'The Big Gundown'. The following year would see yet a further Patton collaboration effort, this time with TOMAHAWK, featuring the singer alongside HELMET and JESUS LIZARD members.
