Born on August 26, 1964 in Dickinson, North Dakota, Mitchell Malloy, the son of a federal judge, was the youngest of six children. Playing in bands from a relatively young age, including LIGHTNING, he moved to New Jersey in 1982. Malloy's debut album was produced by Sir Arthur Payson (a.k.a. DESMOND CHILD). Child nabs a co-writing credit on the songs 'Music Box' and 'Cowboy And The Ballerina'. The majority of the songs were penned by Malloy with Marc Ribler.

Musicians on the debut include the rhythm team of BRYAN ADAMS drummer Mickey Curry and bassist Hugh McDonald (now with BON JOVI) with guitar playing from Michael Thompson, Kevin Dukes and Malloy himself. KING OF HEARTS singer Tommy Funderburk adds backing vocals.

The second album was universally condemned by the Hard Rock media as being a below par collection of limp, soul drenched Pop. Sales of the record were, unsurprisingly, disappointing and Malloy was forced to reconsider his career in the wake of such a flop.

Indeed, Malloy actually released an extremely limited edition Country album during 1995 before promising to deliver a brand new Rock album. Unknown to most, Malloy hooked up for the briefest of moments as lead singer with American giants VAN HALEN. Malloy recorded demos with the band and was told he was in the band but business tangles saw this move nixed paving the way for EXTREME's Gary Cherone to take the position.

His third solo release 'Shine', recorded for Frontiers Records, once again included an enviable line up of guesting musicians with Hugh McDonald once again handling bass, Mickey Currey the drums and Michael Thompson guitar. GIANT's Mike Brignardello also supplied four string action whilst ELTON JOHN's John Jorgensen and MICHAEL BOLTON man Kevin Dukes added additional guitars. Keyboards came from Jeffrey Vanston.

Malloy put in European dates in October of 2001. UK club shows commencing at the Sheffield Boardwalk on the 20th October would see JAIME KYLE and DEADLINE as openers. The singer would put in a rare tribute album appearance, fronting up a version of 'You Could Be Mine' on an April 2002 Deadline Records GUNS N' ROSES collection.

Malloy signed a fresh project entitled FLUID SOL, featuring Victor Broden on bass and Joakim Eckberg on drums, to Atenzia Records in 2004.
