Country Rock flavoured solo work from SOCIAL DISTORTION frontman. Ness drafted guitarist Sean Greaves of THE LEWD and JOYKILLER for the 1999 album. Also involved were steel guitarist Chris Lawrence, bassist Brent Harding and ex BOB DYLAN, IZZY STRADLIN' and CRACKER drummer Charlie Quintana.

'Under The Influences' was made up of Country Rock cover versions with Ness paying homage to the likes of JOHNNY CASH and CARL PERKINS amongst others.

Ness resumed activity with SOCIAL DISTORTION in 2000 taking Quintana with him.
