Boston, Massachusetts-based "shred" guitarist Todd Seitz issued a 2008 debut album from his STYGIA project, entitled 'Divine Allegiance'. Recording line-up was announced as featuring singer Michael Vescera, ex-LOUDNESS and ex-YNGWIE MALMSTEEN, drummer John Macaluso, ex-YNGWIE MALMSTEEN, ex-ARK and ex-TNT, the SYMPHONY X pairing of bassist Michael LePond and keyboard player Michael Pinella plus guitarist Hank Shermann, of MERCYFUL FATE, FORCE OF EVIL and DEMONICA. However, in November it was revealed Pinella was unable to contribute and STYGIA put out a press release requesting suitable candidates.

2009 album sessions featured Michael Vescera plus ADAGIO keyboard player Kevin Codfert.
