Maryland guitarist Ernie Carletti made his name with NAUGHTY NAUGHTY and Philadelphia's SLIK HELVITIKA prior to joining ICED EARTH in 2006. As a solo artist he issued the demo 'Symphony Of The Night' in 2001 through Hairball Music.

On September 19th 2006, Ernie Carletti arrested on multiple rape counts stemming from a May 2003 incident in which he held a University of Delaware woman at gunpoint, kidnapped, transported, and restrained her, after which he then raped her multiple times. He was held on $335,000 Cash Bond at Gander Hill prison in Delaware. On 13th January 2008 Carletti was found guilty of the charges and sentenced to 33 years in prison.
