Biography

Florida's short-lived INCUBUS featured NOCTURNUS and MORBID ANGEL drummer Mike Browning. The band's April 1987 demo 'God Died On His Kness' would also be pressed up as a 7" single the following year. Frontman Sterling Von Scarborough featured as bassist on MORBID ANGEL's 1991 album 'Abominations Of Desolation' and guitarist Gino Marino, previously with TERROR, also figured in the 1992 version of MORBID ANGEL. Previous to Scarborough's enrollment into MORBID ANGEL a formative version of INCUBUS existed in Georgia with Scarborough in league with Steve 'Skellator' Shoemaker and drummer Rich Fuscia.

By 1993 Scarborough, in union with guitarist Danny Klein and old comrade Rich Fuscia had founded USURPER. Subsequently Scarborough had a further stab at resurrecting INCUBUS. The early INCUBUS recordings found their way onto a bootleg compilation 'Harmony Dies Vol. I' alongside rare NECROVORE and MORBID ANGEL tracks.

In 1995 Sterling Von Scarborough, under the pseudonym 'Nocticula', published a demo, restricted to just 66 copies, under the banner LIBER NOCTICULA.
