Unveiled during 2008, IRON STEEL involved the high profile collective of Bosnian vocalist / guitarist Fran Strine, guitarist Tommy Redd, Rachel Bolan of SKID ROW, Morgan Rose, from SEVENDUST on drums, Jim LaMarca, of CHIMAIRA on bass, and David Ellefson, ex-MEGADETH on bass.

IRON STEEL debuted with the EP 'Devil May Care'. In December the band recorded two tracks, the JUDAS PRIEST cover version 'Rapid Fire' and an original song titled 'Saints Of Sin'.

It was announced in December 2008 that Ellefson, together with guitarist Andreas Kisser, of SEPULTURA, vocalist Tim "Ripper" Owens, of JUDAS PRIEST, BEYOND FEAR, YNGWIE MALMSTEEN and ICED EARTH, and drummer Jimmy DeGrasso, from ALICE COOPER and MEGADETH, would be touring Chile between 22nd and 27th January 2009 for five shows, in Santiagho, Valparaiso, Concepcion, Puerto Montt and Antofagasta, under the collective name HAIL!
