Biography
Raucous Atlanta born frontman who made his name replacing Guy Speranza in RIOT, Rhett Forrester was formerly a member of the New York act RACHEL, before he was recruited by RIOT in 1982 in time to record the 'Restless Breed' album and the explosive 'Riot Live' set a year later. Forrester issued the well received 'Gone With The Wind' album during 1984 prior to an appearance on the THRASHER project album, studio work with BURNING STARR and his SCARFACE band.
By 1988 Forrester, together with SCARFACE guitarist Paul Kayen founded BADLANDS. The album recorded initially to be released under the BADLANDS handle eventually surfaced credited simply to the vocalist and titled 'Even The Score'.
Forrester was tragically murdered on the streets of Atlanta, Georgia. He had recently been fronting the Progressive Metal band BLACK SYMPHONY. A 'tribute' album was released in early 1997 featuring material culled from Forrester's time with RIOT (albeit a mere two tracks), BURNING STARR, the THRASHER project, Forrester's solo work and the ill-fated DR. DIRTY project.
