Atlanta, Georgia's AVIAN is notable for the inclusion of lead vocalist Lance King, holding high profile credits with BALANCE OF POWER, PYRAMAZE, EMPIRE, DEFYANCE, GEMINI, DECIBLE and THE KING'S MACHINE.Handling keyboards would be Jonah Weingarten of PYRAMAZE. Although Noah Martin initially handled bass, this role would be delegated to ex-MEGADETH man David Ellefson. AVIAN's conceptual debut, 'From The Depths Of Time', was recorded at The Saltmine and Yanmonster Studios in early 2005. Release would be announced through Germany's Massacre Records, Hot Rockin' Records, and King's own imprint Nightmare Records.

AVIAN made their live debut opening for GAMMA RAY on 12th May 2006 at the Rock Nightclub in Maplewood, Minnesota.

During 2007 Jonah Weingarten and Yan Leviathan forged ECHOTERRA, a symphonic Metal band fronted by Swedish vocalist Suvi Virtanen, ex-THERION, alongside bassist Brian Hollenbeck, from THE KING'S MACHINE, on bass, and drummer John Gensmer, of EPICUREAN. The group released its debut album, entitled 'The Law Of One', on 15th September 2009 via Blinding Force Recordings.
