Biography

Spectacularly described in one publication as being akin to 'WHITE ZOMBIE fronted by ('Price Is Right' hostess/model) Emma Noble with nipple clamps'. The heavily S&M influenced GENITORTURERS aren't perhaps doing anything new in the world of Metal, but the delivery and imagery of it all has certainly attracted a steadfast and passionate following. Frontwoman Geni is, incidentally, married to former MORBID ANGEL man David Vincent who now plays bass in the group.

Geni's formative years were spent in Albuquerque, New Mexico, playing bass for a number of garage Punk bands. She would relocate to Orlando, Florida at the age of seventeen in order to study microbiology but soon found herself running a Rock radio station and, in 1986 handling both lead vocals and bass guitar, founding the GENITORTURERS. David Vincent, under the stage persona of 'Evil D', came onboard as a stand in member during 1992 but by 1996 had become a permanent member of the band.

The GENITORTURERS 1993 debut Nick Turner produced '120 Days Of Torture' saw issue through the IRS label through Capitol. Musicians credited for this release included guitarist Jerry, bass player Sean, drummer A. Wolfgang R. as well as The Grip, Timinator and Domina billed as "Rackmen". Hectic touring across the USA and Europe promoted the high profile release before the group found itself an unwitting victim of IRS's demise. As the band wrestled free of their contracts, and to plug a lengthy gap between albums, the 'Society Of Genitorture' video was made available to keep their presence in the public eye. A nationwide tour with ELECTRIC HELLFIRE CLUB then ensued, after which the band was asked to cut a radical rework of an AC/DC song to a Cleopatra tribute album. The group duly complied with their take on 'Squealer' and subsequently signed to the label for the sophomore 'Sin City' album.

Guitarist Chuck 'Chains' Lenihan, enrolling during 1995, is ex-CRUMBSUCKERS, ELECTRIC HELLFIRE CLUB and GRIM FAERIES. Lenihan founded a 'Vampire rock' side project during 1997 collaborating with erstwhile SHEER TERROR front man Barron Joseph titled VASARIA. Chains also activated side venture GOD GODDESS. Racci Shay took on drum duties in December of 1997 but would leave in 2001. Angel of THE UNDEAD and PSYKILL then took over all percussive responsibilities.

GENITORTURERS unveiled an new EP in May of 2002 entitled 'Flesh Is The Law'. The record, released by Dreamcatcher Records, included three new tracks plus a live recording of 'House Of Shame' and an archive 1997 cut 'Guns Are Good'. The EP was launched with a release party at the Masquerade Club in Tampa, Florida in late June, GENITORTURERS headlining over KILL ALLEN WRENCH and NOTHING PROMISE. Dean guitars honoured Evil D that same year with the manufacture of the custom signature 'Evil D Demonator' bass guitar. A round of October / November 2003 US dates saw the band allied with New York-based industrial metal band HANZEL UND GRETYL. In February of 2004 drummer Anfel temped himself out CROOKED for Us tour dates.

David Vincent, retaining his role with the GENITORTURERS, duly rejoined MORBID ANGEL for their rescheduled 2004 South American dates. Meantime, on 10th September Gen appeared with electrocore duo JACKAL AND HYDE at the Ampitheater in Ybor City, Tampa as part of the 'Blood on the Turntables' event. The band closed the year with a 31st December midnight performance at Cleveland Peabody's billed for this event as GEN & THE ALLSTAR DAMNATION BAND.

Ex-GENITORTURERS guitarist Chuck Lenihan bounced back in the Spring of 2005 with a Tampa, Florida based outfit entitled GLITTER GUNS. Back on the road in the Autumn, GENITORTURERS projected dates allied with BEAUTIFUL CREATURES. New man installed on the drum kit would be the AMEN and THEO credited Joey Letz.

GENITORTURERS released a limited edition 7" coloured vinyl single in 2009 entitled 'Cum Junkie'. The B side featured a 'Let's Go Cum Junkie' remix by Jackal of JACKAL & HYDE.
