Jacksonville, Florida Heavy Metal band ORACLE was formulated as PRODIGY. The 'As Darkness Reigns' album of 1993 is regarded as an obscure classic of the genre. ORACLE singer William Wren would later be found fronting MYSTIC FORCE. Brent Smedley would find recognition with TEMPEST REIGN and ICED EARTH. An earlier ORACLE bassist, James MacDonough, held credits with MAD AXE, DELTA 9, INVADER and BRUTAL ASSAULT. He subsequently found a higher profile with ICED EARTH and MEGADETH.

ORACLE band members regrouped in 2003 under the new billing of ODYSSEY. Brent Smedley would also figure in the membership of TEMPEST REIGN.
