Fronted by professional wrestler Nasty Ronnie (a.k.a. Ronnie Galleti), NASTY SAVAGE were first formed in 1982 by guitarist Ben Mayer and bassist Fred Dregischan. First appeared with a debut four track demo entitled 'Wage Of Mayhem' in early 1984 consisting of the songs 'Unchained Angel', 'Savage Desire', 'Witches Sabbath' and 'XXX'.

However, NASTY SAVAGE had trouble retaining bassists. Whilst the first album saw co-founder Fred Dregischan very much involved he was replaced by Dezso Istvan Bartha for 'Indulgence', Chris Moorhouse was subsequently recruited for the 'Abstract Reality' EP and ex-PURGATORY, ICED EARTH and AGENT STEEL bassist Richard Bateman joined the band for 'Penetration Point'.

Drummer Curtis Beeson quit in the Spring of 1989. Nevertheless, touring during 1989 saw Rob Proctor manning the drum kit, but NASTY SAVAGE ultimately folded. Proctor would later be found as a member of Grind act ASSUCK. Both Beeson and Meyer would forge a union with erstwhile LAST RITES members to create HAVOC MASS for the 1993 album 'Killing The Future'. By the mid 90's Galletti had founded INFERNAL, their 1995 demo being released commercially in 2000.

Bateman founded AFTER DEATH in 1999 together with erstwhile MORBID ANGEL and NOCTURNUS man Mike Browning. Beyer was to be found on SKULLVIEW's 1999 album 'Kings Of The Universe'. Both Ben Meyer and Curtis Beeson would operate as members of LOWBROW with ex-OBITUARY and SIX FEET UNDER vocalist Allen West and DEATH's Scott Carino. LOWBROW debuted with the 2000 album 'Victims At Play'.

In August of 2002 NASTY SAVAGE, citing the line up which recorded the group's final full-length release, 1989's 'Penetration Point' of Ronnie Galetti, Ben Meyer, David Austin, Richard Bateman and Curtis Beeson reunited to record two brand new tracks 'Sardonic Mosaic' and 'Wage of Mayhem' with engineer Mark Praeter.

Crook'D Records would re-issue the debut 'Wage Of Mayhem' demo on CD format in early 2003 adding two previously unreleased tracks dating from 1989 in 'Sardonic Mosaic' and 'Wage Of Mayhem'. NASTY SAVAGE allied with fellow Thrash veterans SADUS and high profile Finnish act FINNTROLL for European mainland dates in December. A brand new studio record, 'Psycho Psycho', arrived in 2004. The album, released by Metal Blade in Europe and Crook'd Records in the USA, included WWF wrestler / FOZZY frontman Chris Jericho guesting on three tracks. In December Curtis Beson joined FIERCE ATMOSPHERES.

Announced in April 2006, Curt Beeson was revealed to have formed retro Thrash / Death Metal combo DENIAL FIEND, co-assembled by an elite cast comprising the MASSACRE and DEATH duo vocalist Kam Lee and bassist Terry Butler, also of SIX FEET UNDER, and guitarist Sam Williams, previously with DOWN BY LAW.
