Biography

Although a veteran journeyman guitarist for hire on the Death scene guitarist JAMES MURPHY, whose impressive credits include AGENT STEEL, DEATH, TESTAMENT, CANCER, OBITUARY and KONKHRA, also made time for his own act DISINCARNATE.

The 1993 Colin Richardson produced album 'Dreams Of The Carrion Kind' had Murphy working with fellow guitarist Jason Carman, vocalist Bryan Cegon and drummer Tommy Viator. Guesting vocalists were CANCER's John Walker and MY DYING BRIDE man Aaron Stainthorpe.

The band was reassembled in 1999 with a line-up of Murphy, ex-AT THE GATES singer Tomas Lindberg, SADUS / DEATH bassist Steve DiGeorgio and CRADLE OF FILTH drummer Nick Barker. Before any product could be issued Barker joined DIMMU BORGIR.

Murphy has issued two solo albums to date 'Convergence' in 1996 and 1999's 'Feeding The Machine'. DiGeorgio joined ICED EARTH. Unfortunately the guitarist was diagnosed with a massive brain tumour in 2001.

In February 2004 Roadrunner Records re-issued a remastered version of the 'Dreams Of The Carrion Kind' album, adding three extra demo tracks. During November 2006 Polish label Metal Mind Productions re-issued 'Dreams Of The Carrion Kind' as a digipack, limited to 2000 hand numbered copies.
