CRYPTIC VISION is a 2003 Progressive Rock venture manifested by Paradox City Studios owner and BROKEN WING member Rick Duncan. The project was fronted by J. Todd Plant of THUNDER, LUCIAN BLAQUE, ZION, EYEWITNESS and MILLENIUM repute whilst Robert Van Dyne of ZION and BROKEN WING supplied keyboards. The trio had worked together previously with a 1990 studio project entitled MERIDIAN.

Joining them for a 2004 debut album 'Moments Of Clarity' would be a swathe of Metal alumni including ICED EARTH guitarist RALPH SANTOLLA, NEUROTICA, STARRFACTORY and ex-ATHEIST frontman Kelly Shaefer, the NEUROTICA and BALD DAISY credited Shawn Bowen, NEW CRASH POSITION and ex-NEUROTICA man GJ Gosman, erstwhile ZON keyboard player Howard Helm and former KANSAS violinist David Ragsdale. In January 2005 Todd Plant joined Florida's TEER as their new frontman.

CRYPTIC VISION cut a new EP in mid 2005, the line-up now featuring Todd Plant, guitarist Tim Keese, bassist Sam Conable, keyboard player John Zahner and Rick Duncan on drums.
