Hartford guitarist JIMI BELL has made a sizable impression upon the Hard Rock scene, coming close to major stardom on a number of occasions. His formative skills would be recognised by the Conservatory of Music in Hartford, where he was awarded a full scholarship. Local recognition has seen Bell, endorsed by both Kramer and Hamer guitars and Seymour Duncan pick ups, scoop the 'Best guitarist' award in 1995, 1997, 1999, 2000, 2001, and 2002.

Early works included the band JOINED FORCES, after which Bell toured nationwide as a member of JOAN JETT's band. This latter connection resulted in a cameo role in the Michael J. Fox movie 'Light Of Day'.

As 1987 drew to a close Bell was selected to audition for OZZY OSBOURNE. The auditions would narrow down to two candidates with ZAKK WYLDE pitched against Bell. Although Wylde scored the gig, Bell would be diverted off into another branch of the BLACK SABBATH family tree, joining bassist Geezer Butler's solo band the GEEZER BUTLER BAND. Here he wrote the track 'Master Of Insanity', subsequently used, but uncredited, on BLACK SABBATH's 1992 'Dehumanizer' album.

Bell donated guitar work to CANNATA's 1993 album 'Watching The World'. The guitarist's next move would be to join respected German Rockers THUNDERHEAD for their 'Ugly Side' record, taking his former JOINED FORCES colleague bassist Mark Franco with him. Following the album release THUNDERHEAD toured Europe in partnership with METAL CHURCH. This connection resulted in a switch to METAL CHURCH vocalist David Wayne's WAYNE project for a 2001 album on Nuclear Blast.

Live work in 2003 found Bell on the local circuit with DIAMONDBACK and contributing a guest solo to the ROB ROCK album 'Eyes Of Eternity'. 2004 would be spent working up a new MVP project album with former OBSESSION and LOUDNESS singer Michael Vescara. In mid 2005 Bell hooked up with BIRD OF PREY, a band unit assembled by the MASI, ANIMAL, the GEEZER BUTLER BAND, RAVAGE the DAVID SHANKLE GROUP credited singer Kyle Michaels.

Jimi Bell joined celebrated melodic Rock outfit HOUSE OF LORDS in January 2006.
