Epic Power Metal out of Colorado, forged during May of 2002 from a union of former PROXIMA CENTAURI, SAPPHIRE FROST and EMERALD ICE personnel guitarist Ryan Darnell and drummer Chris Clark with ex-HANGER 18 frontman Derek 'Wraithchild' Boyd. The drummer had also claimed prior membership of BATTLEWISH whilst Darnell's early ventures included NEMESIS and STORMRIDER. Guitarist Jeff Crowder completed the line-up. The group's first accomplishment would be a two track demo comprising 'Sounds From The Spirit Realm' and 'When Lightning Strikes In A Snowstorm' produced by Mike Muniz. A further promotion cassette billed as 'Demo Crusades' furthered their cause.

KNIGHTS OF TETHYS would enter the recording studio in the latter half of the year to record their debut album 'Sounds From The Spirit Realm'.
