Biography

Thrash act ANNIHILATION, created in San Francisco, California during 1981, issued a May 1985 demo 'Laugh At The Sight Of Pain', recorded at Likewise Studios by Jeffery O. Holt. A rehearsal demo tracked in 1987, called 'Why The Nipple Hard On? and fronted by Russ Anderson, of FORBIDDEN, with Jeff Stine on drums, featured IRON MAIDEN cover versions 'Wrathchild' and '22 Acacia Avenue'. The 'Brain Damage' rehearsal tape surfaced that same year and a further demo, 'Timeless Transition' in 1989. By this juncture ANNIHILATION comprised vocalist / guitarist Jeff Stewart, guitarist Rob Spitzel, bass player Pat Sanger and Mark Tirado on drums.

The 'Fourth Reich' demo, produced WHIPLASH drummer Paul Bostaph, arrived in 1991. ANNIHILATION's final line up counted singer Jacques Serrano, guitarist Jeff Stewart and Joey Genoni, bassist Pat Sanger and Kenny Donovan on the drums, prior to a name switch to THROTTLE BODY.

Various personnel would be briefly involved with ANGEL WITCH. Serrano and Genoni exited in 1992 to form TAUNTED, issuing the demos 'Taunted' and 'Taunted Again'.
