Biography
Formed in suburban Orange County during 1994, melodic Hardcore outfit IGNITE debuted on the album front with 1995's 'Call On My Brothers'. Follow ups included 'Past Our Means' in 1996 and the 2000 'A Place Called Home', the latter including a spirited cover version of U2's 'Sunday Bloody Sunday'. In mid 2005 the group announced they had signed to Abacus Recordings, working on a new record with producer Cameron Webb in September. German dates that Summer included appearances at festivals such as 'Augustibuller', 'Sucks'n'Summer', 'Stoneage' and 'Hageland' events, plus the Hungarian 'Sziget' festival.
IGNITE crafted a new album, 'Our Darkest Days', with producer Cameron Webb during October at at Maple Sound Studios in Santa Ana and Paramount Studios in Hollywood. Guesting would be QUIET RIOT and BEAUTIFUL CREATURES guitarist Alex Grossi. March found the group on US dates allied with COMEBACK KID upfront of a European tour alongside WITH HONOR.
The band contributed their version of 'Cease Fire' to the SICK OF IT ALL tribute album 'Our Impact Will Be Felt' assembled by Abacus Recordings for January 2007 release. IGNITE teamed up with DEATH BY STEREO and BURN THE 8 TRACK for a European tour beginning mid-February. Further European shows in April would be backed by an expanded re-release of 'Our Darkest Days', the revised version, clad in new artwork, adding two bonus tracks and video.
