Biography
The purple haired phenomenon THE ZEROS would sport one of the more outlandish images witnessed on the Sunset Strip in the mid eighties. New Jersey native Sammy Serious journeyed out to London, England before trying his hand in Los Angeles in the early eighties, first setting up as THE DOUBLE O ZEROS. The band included guitarist Joe Normal, bassist Danny Dangerous and drummer Mr. Insane. As THE ZEROS a belated cult fame came the bands way courtesy of two albums, '4321... Zeros' and 'Names Vol.1' as well as being credited with penning the Howard Stern show theme.
Todd Wiltse of THE ZEROS would be operating with THE MISTAKES in the mid nineties. THE ZEROS would still be operational in 2002, citing a line up fronted by Serious with guitarist Danny Roselle, bassist Nick Clemente and drummer Frank Duca. Sammy Serious forged the darker SERIOUS SUICIDE for the album 'Off With Your Head'.
THE ZEROS would still be active in 2005, performing on 22nd June at the Hollywood Key Club to launch the 'Hollywood Rocks' box set on a billing with SPIDERS AND SNAKES, BLACKBOARD JUNGLE, ODIN, JETBOY and FIZZY BANGERS.
