Los Angeles based HERETIC were amongst the fray when California's Thrash scene erupted but made their mark with some precise Speed Metal. The band's original vocalist Mike Torres departed prior to recording to team up with ABATTOIR for their 'Only Safe Place' album. The debut mini-album 'Torture Knows No Boundaries' features singer Julian Mendez, of STONE SOLDIER, who lost his position to Mike Howe in late 1987.

Howe appears on the 'Breaking Point' album but joined METAL CHURCH the same year. Two members of HERETIC, guitarist Brian Korban and bassist Dennis O'Hara would team up with ex METAL CHURCH vocalist David Wayne's REVEREND. Korban recently forged Christian Metal act MONTH OF SUNDAYS in league with erstwhile DELIVERANCE guitarist Glenn Rogers.
