Los Angeles Hard Rock act HEAD SHAKER was centred on Toronto born guitarist Neil Citron. The six-stringer had first made an impression on the Californian Rock scene during the mid 70s with his act HERO, this band fronted by ex-HOLLYWOOD STARS singer Scott Phares and subsequently the BLACK SABBATH credited David Donato. A further mid 80s act, HEAD SHAKER, was also fronted by Donato. Drummer JR Saenz would exit to be replaced by Kurt North.

A later, unnamed, studio project, recording demos with Andy Johns acting as producer, involved Donato, Citron, Saenz and former DEEP PURPLE star GLENN HUGHES. HEAD SHAKER bassist Mike Christie (a.k.a. Mike Chaisson) would team up with LEGS DIAMOND. Neil Citron would release solo product billed simply as CITRON. Citron was announced as having joined QUIET RIOT in February 2006.
