Biography

CRESCENT SHIELD is a 2003 traditional Californian Heavy Metal formation conceived by erstwhile ONWARD singer Michael Grant. Prior to coming to the fore with ONWARD the frontman had already stacked up credits with MORPHEUS, OCEAN SEVEN, OBSCURE, COLD OCTOBER and briefly held down a tenure with NEW EDEN. The vocalist had also cut an album with Colombian Metal band LEGEND MAKER 'A Path To Glory'. Joining him in this new venture would be DESTINY'S END guitarist Dan Delucie, the SINERGY, IRON MAIDENS, DECEPTION and NEW EDEN credited Melanie Sisneros on bass and ENGINE and IGNITE drummer Craig Anderson.

CRESCENT SHIELD debuted live on 18th October at Friar Tucks venue in Pomona, California. In October of the following year the band posted the demo tracks 'Last Of My Kind', 'Await The Champion' and 'Rise Of The Red Crescent Moon' online. That same year Sisneros would be active on the live circuit as part of all female AC/DC tribute band WHOLE LOTTA ROSIES.

CRESCENT SHIELD cur an album's worth of material in 2006. 'The Last Of My Kind' emerged in October through Cruz Del Sur Music.

The band returned with a sophomore outing, 'Stars I've Never Seen' produced by Bill Metoyer, in May 2009. Limited edition versions included an extra disc DVD performance from the band's 'Keep It True' festival show in Germany.
