Biography

Dandy Brown of HERMANO's eclectic acoustic Stoner side venture ORQUESTA DEL DESIERTO incorporates such unexpected instrumentation as piano and trumpet. The result, manifested in the Coachella Valley, California, would be a laid back blend of Rock imbued with Latin beats, mariachi horns. Joining Brown for this undertaking would be the EARTHLINGS?, WOOL and GOATSNAKE credited Pete Stahl and Mario Lalli of FATSO JETSON. The eponymous debut, released in 2002, had KYUSS, QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE and CHE man Alfredo Hernández on drums.

Players included on the follow up numbered guitarist Country Mike Engel and Mike Riley, saxophonist Emiliano Hernández, pianist Tim Jones with drummers Pete Davidson and the EARTHLINGS? Adam Marples. The 2004 'Dos' album would boast "the Lone San Gorgonio trumpet" courtesy of Bill Barrett. Originally issued in Europe by the Málaga based Alone Records 'Dos' saw a North American issue in February of 2004 through Meteor City, this variant adding two extra tracks.
