Biography

BURNING RAIN is a Hard Rock Band venture established by guitarist DOUG ALDRICH, a veteran of LION and BAD MOON RISING, and former SUN KING and MEDICINE WHEEL singer Keith St. John in 1998. The band's rhythm section would comprise STEELHEART drummer Alex Makrovich and bassist Ian Mayo, a campaigner of BAD MOON RISING, BANGALORE CHOIR and HERICANE ALICE.

BURNING RAIN signed to the Japanese Pony Canyon label for their eponymous March 1999 debut, capitalising on this with a subsequent Japanese tour. The sophomore 'Pleasure To Burn' arrived in September of 2000. Both records would see a European release through the British Z Records concern.

Drummer Alex Macorovich decamped in April of 2001. During January of 2002 both of the pivotal players in BURNING RAIN announced high profile side endeavours. Aldrich would team up with DIO as their new guitarist and St. John would be announced as frontman for the MONTROSE resurrection. BURNING RAIN would be re-activated in 2004, signed to the Italian Frontiers label for a new studio album in 2005.

Aldrich and St. John worked up fresh BURNING RAIN tracks during 2007.

In 2009 Keith St. John guested on the 'Secret Weapon' album by former HEART guitarist HOWARD LEESE.
