Tucson, Arizona Heavy Metal band MYTHIASIN was convened during 2004 by vocalist Rick Mythiasin, a scene veteran of STEEL PROPHET, REDEMPTION, NEW EDEN and TARAXACUM repute. Mythiasin made his exit from STEEL PROPHET to concentrate solely on the German based TARAXACUM project during July of 2002. However, by September, and despite breaking his leg in three places whilst trying to perform a handstand (!), Mythiasin had enrolled with NEW EDEN for their 'Stagnant Progression'. Drummer Dave Bellomo exited in May 2005. MYTHIASIN enrolled new bassist Doug Truman in September.

The band commenced recordings for a debut album in July 2006.
