In April 2005 it was reported that guitarist Wojtek Lisicki of Swedish bands LOST HORIZON and LUCIFERION had united with musicians guitarist Adrian Adamus from North American act FOREST OF IMPALED and drummer Varyen of Poles DAMNATION, Logan Perez on lead vocals and Martin Widel on keyboards in a new extreme Metal project dubbed AGAINST THE PLAGUES. An opening press statement described the band as a "power act of blasting musical and ideological expression, presented in different extreme metal styles". Demos emerged in October 2006. A debut album was recorded in early 2007 with producer Chris Djuricic at Studio One in Racine, Wisconsin.
