Biography

Birmingham Hard Rock band RATTLESNAKE KISS was backed up by strong management and finance of Rich Bitch Studios owner Lynn Bruce and created quite a stir during 1991-2. RATTLESNAKE KISS was created in April 1989 by guitarist Ralph Cardall, drummer Steve H and bassist Mark Richardson, subsequently adding Paul Minihane on vocals and rhythm guitarist Richard Neal. A four song demo was recorded at Zella Studios in Birmingham in November 1989.

Bill Carroll replaced Neal on guitar in early 1990. The group gained a valuable support slots on a nationwide tour with IAN GILLAN. Original vocalist Paul Minahine exited in March 1991, being superseded by Sean Love. In July the group featured on the MARILLION headlined 'Cumbria Rock' festival. That September the band, using BLACK SABBATH's back line for full effect, played as the opening act to STATUS QUO's N.E.C. Arena show.

Sovereign Records signed the band, first issuing the 'Sad Suzie' single in November 1991 upfront of an eponymous album. A headline UK tour closed the year.

Work commenced on a proposed second album but sadly it was not to be and the band split in 1992. In later years RATTLESNAKE KISS drummer Steve H. featured with ADRENALIN KICK and THE DEAD ENDS.

A reformed RATTLESNAKE KISS, involving singer Paul Minahine, guitarists Ralph Cardell and Bill Carroll, bassist Mark Richardson and drummer Steve H, recorded an album for 2009 release. Their first song in 18 years, 'Picking Up The Pieces', arrived in April.
