Birmingham's EXPLODER, a retro traditional styled Heavy Metal / Hard Rock project, is mentored by Mick Kenney, previously known for his extremist endeavours such as ANAAL NATHRAKH, PROFESSOR FATE, FROST and "Necro-Doom" act MISTRESS. The drummer also plys his trade with ABOYRM on their 2002 album 'With No Human Intervention' and DISGUST. Kenny also acted as producer for Nottingham Sludge outfit BUMSNOGGER in 2005. Handling lead vocals for EXPLODER would be MISTRESS bass player Dirty Von Arse (a.k.a. Darren Donovan), also known as drummer for both KATASTROPHY WIFE and SALLY. Guitarist Barm is a member of ANAAL NATHRAKH whilst drummer Ad Rogg holds membership of SPINE.

EXPLODER's self-titled debut November 2006 album saw release through via Kenney and NAPALM DEATH's Shane Embury's newly established record label Feto Records.
