Biography

BANDY LEGS was a Birmingham act formed from the amalgamation of Pop acts COPPERFIELD and LEMON TREE. Adding ex-THE WIZARD OF OZ guitarist Geoff Nicholls, the band completed two UK tours as support to BLACK SABBATH, in October 1975 and January 1976, and a tour with AC/DC. Single releases included 'Ride Ride' in 1974, 'Silver Screen Queen' in 1975 and 'Bet You Can't Dance' the following year. The band changed its name to QUARTZ. In this new guise the band went on to release a crop of distinguished NWoBHM albums. Nicholls later became long-term keyboard player for BLACK SABBATH, featuring on every album from 1980's 'Heaven And Hell' onward.
