Biography

Newcastle upon Tyne, Blues styled Rock band whose first mini-album, 1990's 'Wrong Side Of Town', received strong reviews. A period of non activity following a tour with THE QUIREBOYS and their distributor going bust following its release led to the departure of drummer Nigel Stowart in late 1990. His place was taken by former MAGNUM, UFO and BUDGIE drummer Jim Simpson. The RED DOGS faded from public view until late 1991 when they were announced as support act to UFO's British tour.

Guitarist Paul Guerin formed FIREBYRDS in 1993 with ex-TATTOOED LOVE BOYS and PRAYING MANTIS drummer Mick Ransome, erstwhile CRYWOLF and TATTOOED LOVE BOYS guitarist Nick Singleton and former WRAITH bassist Steve 'Rimmo' Rimmington. By 1994 Guerin was guitar roadie for UFO's Michael Schenker before joining former THIN LIZZY guitarist Brian Robertson's THE CLAN in 1995. Guerin was back working for Schenker on UFO's 1998 world tour. Paul Guerin resurfaced in February of 2004, having joined the THE QUIREBOYS and also holding down a position in WORLD OF LEATHER.
