Biography

TRINITY was the short-lived band venture of Irish guitarist VIVIAN CAMPBELL following his abrupt exit from the ranks of DIO in May 1986. Campbell has carved a high profile reputation in the world of Hard Rock and Heavy Metal, beginning his career with Belfast NWoBHM act SWEET SAVAGE before being plucked into stardom with DIO. Generally acknowledged to have given Ronnie James Dio the best albums to date, certainly the best selling, in 'Holy Diver' and 'Last In Line', Campbell then bailed out following completion of DIO's 'Sacred Heart' opus to form a new act TRINITY with bassist Davy Watson and drummer Pat Waller.

He subsequently appeared with in an equally high profile spell with WHITESNAKE before forming RIVERDOGS. The guitarist spent a brief period with a formative NELSON, playing on then erstwhile FOREIGNER vocalist LOU GRAMM's solo album 'Long Hard Look' before forming SHADOWKING with Gramm and finally settling back into the international spotlight once more in DEF LEPPARD. Campbell also founded a side project titled CLOCK in 1998 with former NO SWEAT keyboard player P.J. Smith, bassist Sascha Krivstov and FOREIGNER drummer Mark Schulman.

VIVIAN CAMPBELL issued his debut solo outing, the Blues orientated 'Two Sides Of If', in September 2005.
