A Stoke on Trent quintet, formed in 1980 with original guitarist Amos Sanfillipo, LE GRIFFE's debut, the 'Fast Bikes' EP being the first release on Bullet Records, sold out of the first pressing of 2000 following a short British club tour in early 1983.

The group replaced Sanfillipo with the EXPOZER credited Tim Blackwood. LE GRIFFE split in 1984 after the release of their debut album 'Breaking Strain' with bassist Kevin Collier joining ROGUE MALE.
