Biography

Previously known as THE FEW, this short-lived Sheffield rock band issued just one album prior to folding. The main focus of the band was ex-DEF LEPPARD guitarist Willis who had been effectively out of the limelight, despite a brief appearance in Jonathon King's one off GOGMAGOG project, since DEF LEPPARD's seminal 'Pyromania' album.

Recruiting day from local act NIGHTRUN in 1987, Willis set about his return to the limelight, recording their first demo with another ex-DEF LEPPARD member, drummer Frank Noon. Signing to DEF LEPPARD's label Phonogram, almost certainly due to a contractual obligation, the band switched names to ROADHOUSE. Noon was replaced by Trevor Brewis, previously of WELL WELL WELL.

Oddly the inclusion of Willis in the band was kept a mystery as the guitarist was announced as only aiding the band on a temporary basis. Following a series of unsuccessful single releases, 'All Join Hands', 'Hell Can Wait' and 'Tower Of Love', Willis joined full time although unfortunately the resulting Pete Woodruff produced and Mike Shipley engineered album, emerging in 1991, proved to be a pedestrian affair.

ROADHOUSE debuted with a British club tour with a stand in guitarist for Willis. The band later toured supporting GILLAN, SAXON, on their March 1991 'Solid Ball Of Rock' tour, and NO SWEAT. By mid 1992 vocalist Paul Jackson had quit and the band folded shortly after.
