Fronted by the enigmatically named Marino, a Blues guitarist from Hull, MARINO THE BAND released a cassette in 1993 with drummer Mike Simpson and bass player Rob Creber.

A further cassette only EP cum mini album was issued in 1984 entitled 'No Cover Live'. Bassist Dick Glazebrook was replaced by Sean West in late 1985. However, West later joined London act FLAME in 1986 and Glazebrook was re-enrolled in time to produce the 'Gypsy At Heart' album with new drummer Stuart Pike.

Marino's touring band of 1986 comprised of his sister vocalist LISA DOMINIQUE, ex OUTFIELD bassist Tony Forsyth, ex PERSIAN RISK, THUNDERSTICK and BLACKFOX guitarist Cris Martin and ex DAVID BOWIE and MICK RONSON drummer Paul King.

In mid 1987 the group added ex NO HOT ASHES vocalist Eamon Nancarrow and drummer Klaus Di Matteo and promptly issued a mail order two track cassette in 1987 coupling 'Electric Visions' and 'Northern Sky Part Two'. Marino himself later joined sister LISA DOMINIQUE as guitarist for her short lived solo career.
