The debut album from Black Metallers NECROPOLIS is not all it seems. Drummer Steve Clark, previously with FASTWAY, DESTROYER, ATOMGOD and mentor of Jazz Rock act NETWORK, assembled this band allegedly in an attempt to show the younger genre of Death Metal bands just how this kind of music should be performed. An odd contrast of were to make up NECROPOLIS with ex-NINA HAGEN / JOHN WETTON guitarist Billy Liesegang, additional guitars from ASIA and ARENA man KEITH MORE, former TANK, DAMNED and ATOMGOD bassist Algy Ward and erstwhile HAWKWIND guitarist Trev Thoms.

The album, recorded in 1993, includes a guest session from ex-MOTÖRHEAD and FASTWAY guitarist FAST EDDIE CLARKE. Following recording of 'End Of The Line' Clark and Ward resumed activity with NETWORK for the 'Refusal To Comply' album. Ward subsequently resurrected TANK.
